First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 11, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study is testing if adding a special fibrin clot, made from a patient's own bone marrow, improves the healing of a repaired meniscus tear in the knee. 120 adults with a specific type of meniscus tear will be randomly assigned to get either the standard repair surgery or the repair with the added fibrin clot. The main goal is to see if the clot helps the meniscus heal better by the one-year check-up.
