Summary
This study looks at whether taking fiber supplements along with the diabetes drug metformin can help teenagers with severe obesity and insulin resistance. The goal is to see if the combination works better than either treatment alone for improving blood sugar control, reducing inflammation, and lowering body weight. About 90 teens aged 12-18 will take part over 12 months.
