Summary

This study tests whether injecting numbing medicine near the femoral artery can reverse high blood pressure caused by a tourniquet during ankle surgery. About 40 adults having total ankle replacement will be randomly assigned to receive the injection or a placebo. The goal is to see if this simple procedure can safely control blood pressure during surgery.
