Summary

This study looked back at 266 hospitalized adults who had a special type of PET scan (FDG-PET/CT) to find the cause of an unexplained fever or inflammation. The goal was to see how often the scan helped doctors make a diagnosis and whether it changed patient care. Results will help identify which patients benefit most from this imaging test.
