Fast MRI could outshine ultrasound for early liver cancer detection
NCT ID NCT05095714
First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to screen for liver cancer in people with cirrhosis who are at high risk. About 944 participants will either get a standard ultrasound every six months or an ultrasound plus a quick MRI (Fast-MRI). The goal is to see if adding Fast-MRI finds more early-stage cancers, improves survival, and is worth the extra cost.
