Dialysis patients get stronger and sleep better with In-Chair exercise program

NCT ID NCT07447375

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a 12-week supervised exercise program done during dialysis can improve muscle mass, strength, sleep, and quality of life in adults over 40 with chronic kidney disease. Participants are randomly assigned to either exercise during the first 90 minutes of dialysis or receive standard care. The goal is to see if adding exercise to routine care helps reduce sarcopenia (muscle loss) and improve overall well-being.
