Walking or cycling during radiation may ease side effects for breast cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07583719

First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a supervised, moderate-intensity interval exercise program (like walking or cycling) can reduce inflammation, improve physical fitness, and boost quality of life in women with breast cancer who are undergoing radiotherapy. Forty women aged 20-65 with early-stage breast cancer will be randomly assigned to either an exercise group or a usual-care group. Researchers will measure blood markers, body composition, muscle strength, and quality of life before and after the program.
