Spine surgery showdown: robot vs. human hands – which is safer?
NCT ID NCT03398915
First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at three ways surgeons place screws in the spine: using a robot, using a computer navigation system, or doing it by hand. The goal is to see which method leads to fewer screws needing to be fixed in a second surgery. About 932 adults with spine problems like disc disease, stenosis, or tumors took part across Europe.
