New imaging technique could reveal how cancer drugs target tumors

NCT ID NCT07440212

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study will test a new type of PET scan that uses a radioactive tag to track an experimental antibody (ivonescimab) in people with esophageal cancer. The goal is to see where the antibody goes in the body and how well it targets tumors, which could help doctors choose the right treatments. About 50 adults with esophageal cancer will receive the tagged antibody and then have PET scans to measure its distribution. The study does not treat the cancer but aims to improve how we monitor and predict treatment response.
