NCT ID NCT07617246
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a combination of two drugs, fosrolapitant and palonosetron, plus a steroid, can prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy and immunotherapy in people with esophageal or lung cancer. About 120 participants will receive the drug before each chemo cycle. Researchers will track how many patients have no vomiting or need for rescue medication during the first week after treatment.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Fosrolapitant and Palonosetron Hydrochloride for Injection combined with dexamethasone acetate
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a more effective way to prevent nausea and vomiting during cancer treatment, improving patients' quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is an early phase 2 trial with only 120 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may not work better than existing options, and side effects are possible.
