NCT ID NCT07404085
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a three-week virtual reality cognitive training program, combined with a daily supplement (sodium butyrate), can improve memory, attention, and thinking speed in 160 adults aged 50+ who have had depression or bipolar disorder but are currently stable. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of four groups to compare the effects of the supplement and training versus placebo and a control activity. The goal is to see if this combination can enhance brain function and plasticity.
