First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at how to better assess fluid status in adults with acute kidney injury (AKI). AKI is a sudden drop in kidney function that can be caused by dehydration, infection, or low blood pressure. Getting fluid levels right is critical—too little or too much can cause harm. Researchers will compare standard exams with a device called bioimpedance to find the most accurate way to measure fluid in the body.
