New Fertility-Sparing surgery tested against standard treatment for painful ovarian cysts
NCT ID NCT06775769
Summary
This study is comparing two different surgical approaches for treating ovarian cysts caused by endometriosis. Researchers want to see if a newer, less invasive method called sclerotherapy (injecting the cyst with a solution) is better at preserving a woman's future fertility than the traditional method of cutting the cyst out. The study will follow 60 women for two years to measure cyst recurrence, pain symptoms, and markers of fertility.
