Shock therapy for back pain? new study tests EMS-Enhanced exercises
NCT ID NCT07411053
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether adding gentle electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to body awareness exercises can reduce pain and improve daily function in people with non-specific low back pain. About 72 adults aged 18-65 with at least 3 months of back pain will be randomly assigned to either EMS-assisted exercises or standard exercises alone. The goal is to see if the combination leads to better results than exercises by themselves.
