Brain training may ease addiction cravings, new study hopes to prove

Summary

This pilot study tests whether a behavioral method called Emotional Brain Training (EBT) can help people in recovery from addiction better manage stress, anxiety, and cravings. About 54 adults receiving standard addiction treatment will either continue their usual care or also attend weekly EBT group sessions by phone for 8 weeks. Researchers will compare changes in stress, anxiety, and cravings between the two groups.
