First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested whether the drug eltrombopag can help patients with bone marrow failure recover their platelet levels faster after a stem cell transplant. Platelets are blood cells that help stop bleeding, and some patients have dangerously low counts for weeks after transplant. The study enrolled 118 participants and measured how many achieved a safe platelet count by day 35 after transplant.
