NCT ID NCT04623424
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study is observing how antibiotics given during a stem cell transplant hospital stay change the bacteria in a patient's gut. Researchers will track these changes in 255 adults receiving a stem cell transplant for blood cancers or bone marrow failure. The goal is to understand the link between antibiotics and gut microbiome shifts, not to test a new treatment.
