Heart procedure may fix leaky valves in AF patients

Summary
This study looks at whether a procedure called catheter ablation can help people with persistent atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) who also have severe mitral regurgitation (a leaky heart valve). The goal is to see if ablation reduces the leakiness better than medication alone. About 146 adults aged 18-80 with both conditions will be randomly assigned to either ablation or standard drug therapy, and their heart valve function will be checked after 3 months.
