Summary

This study tested an electronic alert system that reminds general practitioners to screen and manage chronic kidney disease (CKD) in at-risk patients. The trial involved 65 primary care centers in Stockholm, Sweden, and used existing health records to measure whether the alerts improved detection and care. The goal was to see if a simple computer prompt could help more patients get the right tests and specialist referrals.
