First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether giving an education booklet to people with stage 3 or 4 chronic kidney disease helps them follow their treatment plan, take care of themselves, and feel better overall. 119 patients participated, and researchers measured changes using standard questionnaires. The goal was to see if a low-cost educational tool can improve daily management of the disease.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Education booklet about chronic kidney disease
What this could lead to
If it works, this could show that simple education materials help people with kidney disease better manage their condition and feel better.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed study with no phase, so results may not apply broadly. The intervention is just a booklet, so any benefits are likely modest.
