Summary

This study tested whether a 2-week program of group education sessions and exercises before total knee replacement helps people recover function more quickly after surgery. 262 adults with knee osteoarthritis took part. The program included 4 education sessions and 4 exercise sessions. Researchers measured how soon patients could walk, climb stairs, and leave the hospital independently.
