First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares two exercise programs—moderate-load eccentric core exercises and Pilates—in 44 adults with non-specific low back pain lasting over 3 months. Participants will do supervised sessions for 8 weeks, and researchers will measure pain, spine flexibility, core endurance, and body awareness. The goal is to see which approach better improves function and reduces discomfort.

moderate-load eccentric core exercises and Pilates
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could show which exercise approach is better for reducing pain and improving mobility and core strength in people with chronic low back pain.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 44 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Exercise studies also rely on participant effort, which can vary.
