First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a 12-week group therapy program called ECCCLORE for people who have both post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and addiction. The program combines skills for managing emotions, distress, and relationships. Researchers want to see if it is feasible and acceptable for patients. 30 adults will participate, attending weekly group sessions plus short individual check-ins.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
ECCCLORE program (cognitive behavioral therapy group sessions)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a shorter, group-based therapy option that helps people manage both trauma and addiction together.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early feasibility study with only 30 participants, so results may not apply widely. The program may not be acceptable or practical for many patients.
