AI and CT scans could spot hidden heart condition in AF patients early
NCT ID NCT07567508
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a non-invasive screening method using AI-ECG and CT scans can detect cardiac amyloidosis early in 500 adults with atrial fibrillation who have warning signs. Participants are split into two groups: one gets the extra screening plus usual AF care, the other gets usual care only. Over two years, researchers compare how many cases of cardiac amyloidosis are found in each group to see if the new approach improves detection.
