Dyslexia study probes link between body sense and reading
NCT ID NCT03364010
First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether children with dyslexia have trouble sensing their body's position and movement (proprioception) and how that might relate to reading. Researchers compared 56 French children aged 10-12, half with dyslexia and half without. They measured how well kids could detect movements and positions of their joints. The goal was to better understand the connection between motor control, body awareness, and learning.
