Can hospital room lighting be the key to better sleep for the elderly?

NCT ID NCT05107947

Summary

This study is testing whether special 'dynamic' lighting in hospital rooms can help improve sleep and daily rhythms for elderly patients. It will involve 300 patients over age 65 who are hospitalized. Researchers will compare patients in rooms with the special lighting to those in rooms with standard lighting to see if it helps with sleep quality, alertness, and recovery.
