First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is testing whether adding dupilumab to standard steroid nasal sprays improves symptoms and sense of smell in people with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. It focuses on a diverse, mostly minority group of 60 adults. Participants will receive dupilumab injections and be monitored for changes in symptom scores and smell tests.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Dupilumab (a biologic drug given as an injection)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that dupilumab works well for nasal polyps in a diverse, mostly minority population, helping to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 60 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Dupilumab can cause side effects like injection site reactions and allergic reactions.
