Could a cystic fibrosis drug help brain bleed survivors walk again?

NCT ID NCT06723717

First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving dornase alfa (a drug already used for cystic fibrosis) through an IV each day for up to 14 days after a brain bleed can help people recover better. The goal is to see if more people can live independently 6 months later. The trial involves 304 adults who had a brain bleed from a burst aneurysm and are treated within 48 hours. The drug aims to reduce tiny blood clots in the brain that can cause further damage.
