First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a diode laser to standard deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) improves gum disease treatment. Twenty adults with moderate to severe gum disease will have each side of their mouth randomly assigned to cleaning alone or cleaning plus laser. The goal is to see if the laser reduces pocket depth and attachment loss more effectively.
