New app aims to help Parkinson's patients tackle hidden symptoms
NCT ID NCT07038486
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a digital system called NMS Assist that helps people with Parkinson's and their care partners track non-motor symptoms like pain, sleep problems, and mood changes. 30 participants will use the system for 6 months, and researchers will see if it's easy to use and helps people feel more confident managing their symptoms. The goal is to improve quality of life and make it easier to discuss symptoms with healthcare providers.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
NMS Assist digital system (device)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could give people with Parkinson's a simple way to track and manage non-motor symptoms at home, improving quality of life and reducing the need for doctor visits.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early feasibility study with only 30 people. The digital tool may not be easy to use for everyone, and technical issues could limit its effectiveness. It's not designed to treat the disease itself.
