First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether teaching kidney transplant recipients to eat a whole-food plant-based diet can improve their blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight, and reduce hospital visits and infections. About 49 adults who received a kidney transplant in the past 2–12 months and have high blood pressure, high blood sugar, or overweight are taking part. The goal is to see if this diet helps control health problems that often occur after transplant.
