Can diet beat pills for fixing a fatty liver?
NCT ID NCT06845345
Summary
This study aims to see if a specific eating plan is better than a prescription medication for reducing liver fat and scarring. Researchers will compare a Mediterranean diet combined with intermittent fasting against the weight-loss drug naltrexone/bupropion (Mysimba®). The goal is to find the best approach to improve liver health in adults who are overweight and have conditions like type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure.
