First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compares two treatments for chronic low back pain: diathermy (a heat-based therapy) and dry needling (thin needles inserted into muscle). Sixty adults aged 18 to 65 with low back pain lasting over 6 weeks will receive two treatment sessions. Researchers will measure pain, disability, and fear of movement at 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months after treatment to see which approach works better in the short term.
