Summary
This study tests a treatment called Diamyd® in children aged 8 to 17 who are at high risk for type 1 diabetes. The goal is to see if giving the drug directly into lymph nodes is safe and can delay or prevent the disease from developing. Only 5 children with a specific genetic marker (HLA DR3-DQ2) and diabetes-related antibodies are taking part.
