Summary
This study aims to understand why some people with diabetes develop kidney disease, especially in Hispanic populations. Researchers will collect health data, blood, urine, and kidney tissue samples from over 10,000 adults in Ecuador. The goal is to identify social, environmental, and biological factors that contribute to diabetic kidney disease, which could lead to better prevention and treatment.
