Summary

This study looked at 146 healthy women of African, African-American, and white backgrounds to see if risk factors for diabetes and heart disease differ by race. Participants completed several visits including blood tests, glucose tolerance tests, body fat measurements, and meal tests. The goal was to find the best screening tests for each group to help women live longer, healthier lives.
