New diabetes program helps latinx patients better manage blood sugar
NCT ID NCT05394844
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a culturally tailored diabetes education program, called Compañeros en Salud, combined with a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) helps Latinx adults with type 2 diabetes control their blood sugar better than education alone. 120 adults aged 18-60 with an A1C of 8% or higher took part. The goal was to see if adding real-time glucose tracking to the education program improves A1C levels and other health measures.
