NCT ID NCT07392437
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study aims to find out how many adults with type 2 diabetes experience severe diabetes-related distress—a feeling of being overwhelmed by the demands of managing the disease. Researchers at a French hospital will ask 246 participants to fill out questionnaires about their emotions, quality of life, and diet, while also checking their medical records. The goal is to identify factors linked to high distress, which could help improve future care recommendations.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help doctors better identify and address emotional distress in people with type 2 diabetes, potentially improving care guidelines.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study at a single hospital, so results may not apply to all patients. It does not test any treatment, so it won't directly change outcomes.
