Summary

This study tested whether adding dexmedetomidine to the standard drug mannitol can better control brain pressure during robotic prostate surgery. Sixty adults participated. The main goal was to measure changes in the optic nerve sheath, a marker of brain pressure. The study is complete, but results are not yet published.
