Breakthrough in chemo side effect management: less steroids, same relief

NCT ID NCT06331520

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested whether using less dexamethasone (a steroid) along with two other anti-nausea drugs (NEPA and olanzapine) could still prevent nausea and vomiting in 644 adults receiving strong chemotherapy. The goal was to see if the reduced-steroid approach works just as well as the standard full-dose regimen. Results aim to help patients avoid steroid side effects while keeping chemo side effects under control.
