New program aims to prevent depression in parents of down syndrome babies

Summary

This study is testing a program called Mothers and Babies for Down Syndrome (MBDS) to help prevent depression in new and expectant parents of infants with Down syndrome. About 72 parents will take part in a small pilot study to see if the program helps with feelings of grief and improves social support. The goal is to prepare for a larger study that could help many families.
