First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether genetic testing can help doctors choose safer and more effective medicines for depression, acute pain, and chronic pain. Over 4,200 people took part. Some got genetic testing right away to guide their treatment, while others got standard care. The goal was to see if the genetic approach leads to better pain control or fewer depression symptoms.
