Can recycled tooth material help save your jawbone?

NCT ID NCT07242313

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests two different graft materials made from donated teeth to see which one better preserves the jawbone after a tooth is pulled. About 45 adults needing a single upper back tooth removed will be randomly assigned to receive one of the grafts or no graft at all. Over six months, the researchers will measure bone changes using 3D X-rays and check pain, swelling, and satisfaction to find the best option before placing a dental implant.
