Summary

After a tooth is pulled, the bone can shrink, making it harder to place dental implants later. This study tests two collagen-based biomaterials that are left exposed to the mouth to see how well they preserve bone. Sixty adults needing a single tooth extraction will be randomly assigned to one of two biomaterials or natural healing.
