Scientists track every millimeter of dental implant healing
NCT ID NCT06554444
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study followed 20 adults who needed a single dental implant in their back lower jaw. Researchers used 3D scans and clinical exams at four different times to measure how the gum and bone changed during the first months of healing. The goal was to better understand the natural healing process after implant placement, not to test a new treatment.
