Growth factor may boost bone healing for dental implants

Summary

This study tests whether adding a growth factor (rhPDGF) to a standard bone graft helps rebuild jawbone better than using saline alone. About 44 adults who need dental implants but have thin jawbone will receive one of the two treatments. Researchers will measure new bone formation after 4 months using scans and tissue samples.
