Summary
This study tests two lifestyle programs in 400 older African American and non-Hispanic white adults who are at risk for memory loss and diabetes. One group will do aerobic exercise classes, and the other will get dietary counseling to follow the MIND diet, which emphasizes berries, vegetables, whole grains, and fish while limiting fried foods and sweets. The goal is to see if these programs can protect brain health and prevent disease.
