First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether the drug dapagliflozin, usually used for diabetes, can reduce the risk of heart problems in women who had high blood pressure during pregnancy. About 200 participants will take either the drug or a placebo daily for six months after giving birth. The goal is to see if the drug improves blood pressure, weight, and heart function, lowering the chance of future heart disease.
