Aspirin and diet may fight cancer return

NCT ID NCT05036109

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looked at whether taking daily aspirin and vitamin D, along with exercise and a low-fat diet, could help prevent colorectal cancer from returning in 16 patients who had no visible cancer but still had signs of cancer DNA in their blood. The goal was to see if these lifestyle changes could clear those DNA markers. While the approach is promising, it is not a cure and focuses on managing the risk of recurrence.
