First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether opening a completely blocked heart artery with a procedure called PCI, on top of taking standard heart medications, helps people live longer or feel better. It includes 2000 adults with stable heart disease and symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath. The goal is to see if the added procedure reduces death and improves quality of life compared to medication alone.
